I have the great privilege to be in South Africa, the land of my birth, at the time of the passing of  former South African President, Tata Madiba Nelson Mandela. I was most honored to be able to place a Gay Flag of South Africa, together with its designer at memorial venues for Madiba. That Article can be found here: READ MORE.

I am writing this post in GAY U.S.A. here for GAY U.S.A.  because as a South African born American, who lived through the struggles of Apartheid, and who bore witness to the birth of a fully inclusive South African Constitution,  one which specifically includes sexual orientation and gender identity, with much thanks to Madiba Nelson Mandela, I was so grateful to hear President Barack Obama OBAMA at Nelson Mandela memorial mention this important fact, that “…around the world people are still persecuted for WHO THEY LOVE….”

Thank you President Obama for always remembering #LGBT #Equality  scroll down the post at http://oblogdeeoblogda.me/2013/12/05/nelson-mandela-1918-2013/ see the full speech.
